Bio

I’m a Director/Producer based in Pakistan, and have been working in the media and film industries since 1997. I’ve worked on TVCs and branded shows for Pepsi (two major projects for Pepsi were Pepsi Battle of the Bands and Pepsi Inside Edge), Benson and Hedges (B&H Global Beat), Coca Cola (Coke Studio) and numerous TVCs for these and other brands like British American Tobacco, Unilever, Procter and Gamble, etc.

I’ve done a 15-months diploma in Digital Film-making at SAE Institute, London. Some of my work experience: Senior Producer at Pyramid Productions, Karachi; Bureau Coordinator at NBC News in Islamabad; in London I worked for GEO TV as producer, and BBC Urdu’s website as Video Director/Producer; I was Project Manager on Coke Studio Season 1, then Senior Producer Current Affairs at DawnNews and Multimedia Editor at Dawn.com. I worked on Sabiha Sumar’s new feature film Rafina, on which I was gaffer.

Currently I’m working as Editor of Spider Magazine, and freelance Director/Producer. I’ve been making TVCs, documentaries for the development and corporate sectors, and a couple of music videos.
